It consists of various second-hand bookshops, some of them are combined with a café, art gallery and souvenirshop. Solstice bookfair every year in May/ June. The summer season has ended, but the Booktown shops are open several days during winter – just ask us.

Fjærland Book Town The village of Fjærland has 300 inhabitants and is situated by the Sognefjord next to the glacier Jostedalsbreen. The Norwegian Book Town, Fjærland, is an experience out of the ordinary. The remote idyllic booktown Fjærland is surrounded by dramatic scenery and situated on an upper branch of the Sognefjord. This small hotel, which it's terrace on the water, features (small) rooms which are cute and cozy.
